At the Daylesford Wine Exhibition this year I felt privileged to receive the Julian West Memorial Trophy (sponsored by the Daylesford Wine Show Committee). Julian was one of many early pioneers in winemaking in the Macedon Ranges and was a real character. The Trophy is awarded to a small winery which makes its own wine, on the basis of scores for the top three wines.
